Khalid Albaih is a Sudanese artist, political cartoonist and illustrator living in Doha, Qatar. His stark, politically charged images rose to prominence on social media during the early stages of the Arab Spring in 2011 and have become a symbol of the uprisings.

Albaih is truly an artist from the revolution and his images have become iconic. His work is shared by revolutionary groups and political activists in his native Sudan, as well as in Yemen, Tunisia and Syria, and have been stenciled on walls by protestors in Lebanon and Egypt.

This is Khalid Albaih’s first U.S. exhibition; his May 2015 visit to Washington, D.C. and Dearborn, Mich. is his first trip to America.
