The Grand Gala – POSTPONED
The past two weeks have been some of the most intensely difficult our community has experienced as the genocide in Palestine continues, the aggression on Lebanon worsens, and the violence in Sudan, Yemen and Syria is ongoing. We are repeatedly forced to bear witness to these catastrophes and grieve our homelands from afar. Our community here in the United States is in pain and we are listening to what is needed. As such, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the 2024 Arab American National Museum Grand Gala.
The Grand Gala is historically a time for our national community to gather in Dearborn, the heart of Arab America, and uplift the mission and impact of this one-of-a-kind museum. As we take a pause to grieve, heal and reflect, we hope to come back together with a program that will raise much-needed funds for our necessary educational programs that shed light on the stories that make up our shared Arab American experience—especially now, when our culture and identity are under attack.
We will be reaching out soon with a new date. For those of you who have sponsored or have already purchased tickets for this year, we will be reaching out to you via email to share next steps.
