Holiday Storytime with Sari Mira
Join us for a holiday-themed English-Arabic Storytime playlist from the comfort of your home! Children ages 2-6 and their parents are invited to tune in as resident storyteller Sari Mira reads the books Grover’s Hanukkah Party, Llama Llama Holiday Drama and Seven Days of Kwanzaa, in both English and Arabic.
In Grover’s Hanukkah Party, Grover and his Sesame Street friends think the number eight is great and count out all the essentials for the perfect party.
Llama Llama Holiday Drama follows the impatient Llama Llama who has a meltdown on Christmas Eve. Fortunately, Mama Llama is there to save the day with hugs and kisses and a little quiet time.
Seven Days of Kwanzaa, like the holiday itself, celebrates people pulling together to make things better, honoring the richness of African American culture and traditions.
Due to the pandemic, we have been closed to the public since March 13. Closed doors mean that our earned revenue streams have dried up, and corporate funds have been pivoted to assist with COVID-19 relief or for their own financial survival. We are looking forward to the day we can safely reopen, but until then, we need your support.
