Join artist-in-residence, Dana El Masri for a casual yet welcoming discussion where we explore 5-6 raw materials either native to SWANA countries, or smells of ‘home’. Dana will share a few facts about each material and the group will smell them together. The goal is to learn about these materials but most importantly to connect to our sense of smell and share personal experiences and the memories they evoke.

Each workshop is limited to an intimate gathering of 6 people. Participants will leave with a little scented something!

Dana El Masri is a perfumer, interdisciplinary artist, educator and storyteller whose unique perception is inspired by the sights, scents and sounds of our current contemporary landscape as well as her deeply rooted Egyptian-Lebanese cultures and global life experience. She is the owner of Jazmin Saraï, an artisan line of small-batch, unisex perfumes and scented products handmade in Montreal, Canada.

Due to the pandemic, we have been closed to the public since March 13, 2020. Closed doors mean that our earned revenue streams have dried up, and corporate funds have been pivoted to assist with COVID-19 relief or for their own financial survival. We are looking forward to the day we can safely reopen, but until then, we need your support.

Your donation today will help us weather this crisis.
