Rooftop Rendezvous: Garden-To-Table Cooking Demo with Tiliani Chef, Hisham Diab

Join us at Al-Hadiqa: AANM Heritage Garden on select Fridays throughout the summer! Music, crafting workshop, poetry. It could be anything! Get inspired for a couple of hours on our rooftop garden with old and new friends. Light refreshments will be served.

This week’s event includes a garden-to-table cooking demo with Chef Hisham Diab of Dearborn’s own fine dining Italian restaurant, Tiliani!

Hisham Diab is a Culinary Institute of America-trained chef, born and raised in Southeast Michigan. After completing culinary school, Diab spent some time consulting overseas in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Qatar, before returning to Michigan. Back in metro Detroit, he opened a short-lived, fast-casual spot inside a gas station in Livonia from 2021 to the end of 2022 called Pump 5 Grille. Last year, Diab opened his fine dining Italian restaurant, Tiliani (derived from Arabic for “Italian”). Located in West Dearborn, Mich., the ingredients used at Tiliani are locally sourced and fresh every day.
