Five Little Pumpkins with Linda Samarah + La Catrina: Emotions with Sari Mira
As we gear up for Halloween, join us for an exciting and spooky English-Arabic Storytime from the comfort of your home! Children ages 2-6 and their parents are invited to tune in as guest storyteller Linda Samarah reads Five Little Pumpkins by Dan Yaccarino in English and Arabic, and resident storyteller Sari Mira reads La Catrina: Emotions by Patty Rodriguez and Ariana Stein in Spanish, English and Arabic.
With bouncy, rhyming text in verse from the classic nursery rhyme, Five Little Pumpkins follows the pumpkins and their spooky friends as they get into some spirited Halloween fun.
Inspired by one of the most recognized symbols of Dia De los Muertos (Day of the Dead), La Catrina: Emotions introduces little ones to emotional expressions and teaches them to recognize feelings like excitement, sadness and confidence.
Due to the pandemic, we have been closed to the public since March 13. Closed doors mean that our earned revenue streams have dried up, and corporate funds have been pivoted to assist with COVID-19 relief or for their own financial survival. We are looking forward to the day we can safely reopen, but until then, we need your support.
