Join us for our first film screening of 2020! The documentary film Al Helm: Martin Luther King in Palestine follows an African American gospel choir that provides the chorus for a Palestinian play on the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., exploring parallels between civil rights in the U.S. and liberation struggles in Palestine.
The screening will be followed by a talkback with the Wright Museum’s Charles Ferrell and AANM director Diana Abouali.
Presented in partnership with the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.
