Living Under Occupation: From Turtle Island to Palestine

Lakota music artist and AANM resident artist Frank Waln and Lenna Zahran Nasr of Palestinian Youth Movement will discuss settler colonialism from Turtle Island to Palestine through a reflection on Frank’s trip to Palestine where he met with Palestinian artists and organizers to hear their stories. Dinner provided!  

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in writing exercises surrounding themes of the discussion with potential of having their words included in a new piece of music by Frank Waln! 

This event is all ages, with teens and college-aged youth encouraged to attend.
