Jesus “Chuy” Negrete is founder/director of the Mexican Cultural Institute in Chicago, an engaging teller of tales and master narrator of the Mexican experience through poetic song and corridos (running-verse ballads). Author Studs Terkel dubbed him "the Chicano Woody Guthrie."
